Photos from Week 1 [La Tijera new school construction site]

On September 10th we took our first trip to the La Tijera elementary school, meeting the kids of the fifth grade class for the first time and taking a tour of the construction site for their future campus. The workers split us into two groups, taking us out onto the site and showing us where the buildings were going to be and then taking us back inside the trailer to show us the work that went into designing the new campus. The fifth graders asked great questions and then we gathered outside for some group photos.

 

Some pictures of the campus the students at La Tijera are attending now. It's a very small campus, but here is where our Made for Kids class is going to help the students paint some murals to help add some color to their school.
